Atmosphere Joins the So Glad You Made It Tour

Atmosphere took the stage in Santa Barbara, California on August 16th for their first performance as part of the So Glad You Made It Tour. Atmosphere trades places with Ocean Alley who covered the first half of the tour with 311, Dirty Heads, and Rome.

Minnesota might be home for the underground hip-hop duo, but Slug and Ant knew exactly how to captivate this California audience. Slug kept the mic hot at the Santa Barbara Bowl with equal parts self-deprecating lyrics and self help banter in between tracks. The lyrics to their song “Kanye West” sum it up perfectly - “put your hands in the air like you really do care” - and that’s exactly what the crowd did. The setlist mixed classics like “God’s Bathroom Floor” and “Scapegoat” with fan favorites “Sunshine” and “The Best Day”. Atmosphere ended their set with a powerful and energy-driven performance of “Trying to Find a Balance” - one of my personal favorites as a fan of almost 25 years.

It may have only been night one for Atmosphere, but Slug and Ant proved exactly why they have a spot on this powerhouse of a tour.
