Bombargo Wraps Up Their Summer Tour With a Bang in Hampton, NH

On Sunday, July 19th, Bombargo wrapped up their six week long summer tour at Bernie’s Beach Bar in Hampton, NH. Hailing from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, Bombargo is a funky blend of indie pop sprinkled with vintage vibes and good old-fashioned rock n roll.

The boys in Bombargo put on one hell of an energetic show to the point you’d never have known it was a Sunday night. At any given point in the set you could find lead singer Nathan Thoen jumping off the drumset or jumping into the crowd. The insanely talented Spencer Chilliak (guitar) jumped off the drumset over Anthony Thoen (guitar). Anthony and bassist Sammy Lee Folkersen traded instruments at one point while drummer Niall Cubbon kept everything tight from behind the set. The good vibes and lively dance moves were never lacking no matter what song they were performing. The band’s positive message was contagious throughout the night; the crowd never ceased to match their energy and joyful essence.

The show concluded with Nathan crowd surfing on a gear case held up by the most fearless members of the crowd, visibly riding the high from the show both literally and figuratively.
